Category: Accounting Job description: This Senior Profit & Loss Analyst position reports to the Derivatives Profit & Loss (P&L) Manager performing the following functions: - Compile and provide Derivatives Products (Interest Rate, Credit and Equity) P&L reports of to Capital Markets traders for their review and sign-off on a daily basis. - Responsible for daily and Month-end end-to-end P&L reconciliation from front-office to back-office to general ledger systems. - Responsible for daily internal cash, price and position reconciliation. - Investigate and resolve P&L and cash breaks with minimal guidance from Manager - Responsible for tracking and escalating reconciliation item, daily and month-end P&L sign-off - The individual will work closely with Capital Market traders and Capital Market Operations staff to ensure the reporting of sound financial data. - Work with manager to identify process improvements and adopt best practices - Assist to perform User Acceptance Testing for P&L system implementation - Assist to implement changes required to standardize processes Skills: -Post-secondary education with Bachelor degree in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics and science -Strong quantitative and analytical skills plus accounting background. -Strong PC skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Strong organization and time management skills - Excellent interpersonal skills with strong client focus and is able to communicate with a variety of individuals at various levels within the bank -Knowledge of capital markets products, valuation methodologies, options pricing models and market risk calculations -Understanding of the end-to-end Derivatives process - Minimum 2 year operational experience in related product/processes Employment type: Full Time Salary Range: 000000 Other Information
